Wild Cherry opened in October 2025 inside the historic Cherry Lane Theatre on Commerce Street, now run by film studio A24, from chefs Lee Hanson and Riad Nasr of Frenchette. The 45-seat room serves the pre-theater crowd and walk-ins alike with a seafood-forward, French-inflected menu that runs from oysters and tuna crudo to frog legs Kiev and a lobster club, alongside a Sherry Cherry Highball and a shareable Scorpion Bowl. It's one of the more unusual restaurant openings in recent West Village memory - a serious kitchen operating out of one of the neighborhood's oldest off-Broadway stages.
