Minetta Tavern

$89.99

Minetta Tavern has anchored a corner of MacDougal Street since 1937, when it opened as a speakeasy-turned-tavern that drew writers like Ernest Hemingway, e.e. cummings, and Eugene O'Neill through its doors. It closed in 2008 after decades of decline before restaurateur Keith McNally bought and revived it in 2009, shifting the menu from its old Italian roots to French bistro fare and steakhouse classics. Its dry-aged Black Label Burger has become one of the most talked-about burgers in the city, and the tavern held a Michelin star from 2010 to 2018. The red leather booths and black-and-white photos of old regulars still nod to its nearly century-old past.
