Danny Meyer opened Gramercy Tavern in the Flatiron District in 1994 with chef Tom Colicchio, splitting the space into a formal tasting-menu Dining Room and a walk-in Tavern room built around a bustling bar. It's since become one of the most decorated restaurants in America, holding a Michelin star since 2006 and collecting nine James Beard Awards, with chef Michael Anthony now running a kitchen built around relationships with local farms.
