Faicco’s Italian Specialties

Faicco's has sold Italian sausages, cured meats, and fresh mozzarella from Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village since the family business first opened in Brooklyn around 1900. Its overstuffed Italian sandwiches, layered with cold cuts and roasted peppers, have made it a required stop on a strip that also includes Murray's Cheese and Joe's Pizza. More than a century in, it's still run along the same family recipes, from handmade sausage to arancini made fresh in-house. It remains one of the last old-school Italian specialty shops left in a neighborhood that's changed dramatically around it.
