Superiority Burger

Superiority Burger began in 2015 as a tiny East Village storefront from Brooks Headley, the former Del Posto pastry chef who traded fine dining for an all-vegetarian burger built from carrots, quinoa, and chickpeas. After outgrowing its original space, it moved a few blocks to Avenue A in 2023 with a full bar in tow, and Pete Wells came back to bump his original two-star review up to three, calling it better than ever. It's since picked up James Beard recognition and even an outpost in Tokyo, all while keeping the scrappy, no-frills counter-service feel that made it a cult favorite in the first place.
