Pastis

$89.99

Keith McNally opened Pastis on Gansevoort Street in 1999, and the Parisian brasserie, all white subway tile, vintage mirrors, and golden light, quickly became the social center of the then-gritty Meatpacking District. Rising rent forced it to close in 2014, but McNally spent five years vowing to bring it back, and in 2019 he did, this time partnering with restaurateur Stephen Starr. The reopened Pastis serves the same steak frites, escargots, and icy oysters that made the original a magnet for models, artists, and everyone hoping to be seen among them.
