Clinton Street Baking Company
$69.99
Neil Kleinberg and Dede Lahman opened Clinton Street Baking Company as a 32-seat bakery cafe on the Lower East Side in April 2001, not long after meeting at a fish-and-chips shop and marrying ten months later. New York Magazine naming their pancakes among the city's best turned the little bakery into a full-blown destination, and the space doubled in size in 2016 to keep up with demand. The all-day menu still centers on those pancakes alongside buttermilk biscuits and housemade jam, drawing a line out the door that has become as much a neighborhood fixture as the restaurant itself.
