Adda began in 2018 as a casual Indian canteen in Long Island City from Unapologetic Foods, the group behind Dhamaka and Semma, before moving in 2025 to a larger home on First Avenue in the East Village. Chef Chintan Pandya and Roni Mazumdar built the menu around boldly seasoned, regional Indian cooking, from lamb parcha and paneer with goat brain to a tableside butter chicken finished with smoked butters. Roving chaatwalas carry snacks through the dining room, and many dishes arrive in heavy enameled pots meant for sharing. Time Out named it New York's number one restaurant for 2026, cementing its comeback in a new neighborhood.
